GE IC698CHS009 Rx7i PACsystem I/O Rack
This rear-mounted I/O rack is compatible with all Rx7i CPUs and I/O devices, the Series 90-70 I/Os, and the VME modules. The IC698CHS009 Rack comes with a slot-sensing capability, and it supports software configuration, eliminating the need for DIP Switches or jumpers for I/O addressing. The IC698CHS009 Rack also provides automatic daisy-chaining of the interrupt acknowledgement and bus grant signals, eliminating the need for slot jumpers, and it supports the Rx7i power supply plug-ins. The IC698CHS009 Rack has 9 I/O slots for installing Rx7i CPUs, I/O modules, and power modules. The slot numbered 1 through 8 are 20 millimeters wide and they support only single-slot modules. Slot 9 is 40.6 millimeters wide and it supports double-width modules.
RX7i racks are regarded as “open equipment,” so they must be installed in an IP54 safety enclosure. The dimensions for this rack are as follows: The height is 11.15 inches (283 mm). The width is 12.6 inches (320 mm). The depth is 7.25 inches (184 mm). If a cooling fan is to be installed, an additional 9 inches (23 cm) space between racks is necessary.
