This module provides 16 outputs that are divided into 2 groups of 8 outputs each and that operate with negative logic. The GE Fanuc Automation IC694MDL742 16-point output module includes 2 electronic short-circuit protection features, the first one can protect output points 1 to 8 points and the second protects output points 9 to 16. The mechanism of these 2 protective features is to detect short circuits and turn off the points that have experienced the short circuits to protect them against any further damage. Once they has detected a fault and turned off the points, they will activate the Fault LED.

The GE Fanuc Automation IC694MDL742 output module with 16 output points operates with a rated DC voltage of 12 to 24 Volts DC and for each input, it includes a voltage tolerance of -15 to +20 percent. The module has a power consumption rating of 130 milliamperes and an inrush current rating of 5.2 Amps for 10 milliseconds. The GE Fanuc Automation IC694MDL742 16-point output module also supports a special insertion and removal mode that applies to an RX3i universal backplane. This special features allows it to be removed and inserted under power. The output module features a numbered LED for each one of its outputs and the external devices need to be powered from an external power source.
